Three Months

Today, 14th May, 2012, marks my 3 months' period as a sales of medical devices in Clindiag. Looking back, I really have a lot to say.
During this three months, what I learnt the most important was how to put myself in others' shoes, and think their way of thinking. I have to say, it is hard to master that skill in such short time, what I can do now is to learn and try, and I will always have faith and believe in myself. I believe, someday, business partners are friends, not parties of interest conflict.
I chose this job coz I think it is practicing, as I can meet different people, making new friends and knowing more things in the world. I treat every client with equality and respect, no matter where he or she comes from, they can be my friends. I believe there would be a rich life lying ahead.
During these three months, I also saw the dark side of some business persons, greedy, cunning and mean. Sometimes I was such a contradictory as I wanted to improve my working abilities (flexible brain, clear mind, convincing talking) through being a sales, while the job itself let me down a lot of times. A balance is so hard to be found.
It is always the truth that competitively-priced products will win the market finally. Hope everything will be fine gradually.

Go on My Work with Passion

Althouhg there are dificulties lying ahead, I should keep my passion and be positive. I always liked the sentence - no matter happy or sad, a day is a day. So, why not choose to be happy instead of complaining all day? I's like to be positive and optimistic to improve myself.
A few days ago, I joined the Pintrest Network where all the members can show their favorite pictures freely. I took the opprtunity to introduce the beauty of Nanjing to the outside world, and I can see that beautiful sceneries would never be out of time. I will keep up the joyful job to show more traditional Chinese stuff to those who may intrested in traditional Chinese culture.
I have been to Clindiag China for about 2 months. During this time, I really learnt a lot about foreign trade. I know I still get a lot more to learn, so I will not give up this job easily. Today, I learnt to make documents involved in foreign trade and made much progress. Rich day indeed!
Sorry folks, didn't come here for a long time, really busy with other stuff, esp. when our engineer came back from the ExpoMed in Turkey nad gave me the name cards. I was excited also depressed. This is my first time dealing with the names cards collected from a foreign fair, and I felt I can be valuable and make my efforts for the company and improve my ability at the same time. While I also felt so much pressure. What if I messed it up? What if there was not one reply at all? What if... I lost confidence and got confused. I know cowardness will be a great trouble as it prohibits you from doing everything and makes you fear of everything.
It's lucky to have Sara here with me, she came to this company one year ago. Each time when I had questions or problems, I would ask her for help, I'd like to present my thanks to her here, thank you, Sara.
I still dont know how to pick up my confidence, lack of experience is my dead injure. I know the tower is not built in one day, and I know I still have to go through a long long time for learning, making and correcting errors, but during this period I really suffer. I'm afraid it would wear down my patience, self-confidence and my positivity. I'm afraid I would be a negative person, saying "no" to everything and everybody around me, even to myself.
I dont think I need encouraging books or movies. I wanna find a way to pull myself out from this sadness.

Love My Job

I have been in Clindiag Systems Co., Ltd for one and a half months, during which time I have really learnt a lot about foreign trade. Since I'm new here and I have to do a lot of trivial things like accompanying clients for sightseeing or meals, running errands for colleagues, etc. but I think I can learn experience make new friends through doing every tiny things.
Last Sunday, I accompanied a client from Somalia who is a muslim and do not eat any meat here. I felt so terrible dont know where to find a suitable place for lunch(I really don't know where I can find a muslim restaurant in Nanjing), at last I took him to our school canteen where there offered Halal. I felt so sorry that I offered him such "simple food"(in Chinese culture, people treat distinguished guests with superior dishes to show hospitality ). So next time, when I escort a client with special requirements, I have to do a good local research about restaurants or places of intrest in order to entertain him/her well.
Yesterday, I took two American clients for lunch. My boss said they would go to KFC, while it turned out to be a Chinese restaurant (they said when they go abroad, they would like to taste the local food) and I was really impressed one of them can use Chinese chopsticks instead forks and spoons. I really like my job now. Despite that I do not have much time for finding new clients, I feel my life is rich and colorful.
But sometimes, I just feel depressed as I haven't fund a suitable client and haven't made an order successfully. I know I have to learn more and work hard to improve myself. Today, April 10, 2012, I will never forget this day as I cried on work for the first time. Yes, I admit it was indeed my mistake to have translated the email from an Indian partner for a wrong meaning, for I really didn't know what did he mean by "the tender for 6 nos. FA-300 and 30 nos. HA-22/vet". I thought "nos" meant negative opinions thus causing the misunderstanding. The worse part was I sent the wrong version to many company leaders. When my boss saw my email, he was irritated ,"how could you sent this email to the leaders?! Your translation ability is f**king bad! You are f**king dissapointing!..." I had no reason to argue although I hated the criticism of dirty words. When I returned to my seat, I couldn't help crying for I felt so wronged, I have just been to this company for less than 2 months, still have a lot to learn; and this is my first time reading and translating Indian parter's email (a lot of times it's hard to understand as they would use some unusual expressions also no punctuation marks at all from beginning to the end). You can say I'm finding excuses for my fault and I would not deny it, the only thing I cared about was how to make things right. At last, I wrote a second email to the leaders for apology and toghther with the revised version. From this incidence, I know I have to be careful next time by asking any confused point in work, and I have to learn to be strong by facing up to my fault directly and finding ways to solve the problems.

Thoughts on Being a Sales Person in Clindiag Systems

I have been in Clindiag Systems China for over a month, and I felt so excited about my work and life.
I always wanna amke new friends and improve myself in every aspects. I was shy in school and always got face red when talking with a strangers. But now,I have learnt how to be calm when facing different situations.
I really liked what I'm doing right now. To be a sales personnel of medical devices, I have the chance to meet and talk with various people, most of which are businessmen or women with clear minds and rigorous thinking that I have to acquire myself. Through communicating, I should put on the others' shoes and know their intentions, and then give answers from their point of view. Although I don't know the tricks of selling, but I know the necessity to be honest and sincere to every client.
With equal respect toward everyone, I have faith in myself!

New Start and New Wishes for 2012

In Chinese culture, this year is the year of Dragon, and I was born in 1988, also the year dragon. And they say people wouldnot have good luck in their own animal year.
Well, I just graduated from Nanjing Medical University last year and worked as a google seoer for about 7 months, and then I quit, got my second job as a sales for medical devices. I like my job now coz it is challenging and I can learn a lot, practice a lot and make a lot of new friends.
Now I have full faith in myself, coz I always believe the saying - You are what you want to be! I want to be successful sales, and I also want to be a good friend to everyone around me.
This is a totally new year to me, and it means new challenges and opportunities.
Every morning, I will say to myself "Yes, I can!"
